Rain is such a mystery thing. It can brings sad, lonely and somehow depress feeling for some people. I personally love it, especially those melancholy mood that comes with the rain that would be perfect to snuggle in a blanket, drink warm coffee and read Harry Potter's book. It's such melancholy yet feeling comfort and safe. What else is perfect for a rainy day? Sad rainy day song~

Book Review

From the very first page, I was hooked by how the story line is. I always love books with lots of life values that I can learn from. Magical books about real life just like Cecilia Ahern's books. Yes, I do love most of her books. There's so many points in our life that we need to read about someone else's life to be inspire and to be strong. I realize that this book is one of the book that you can read whenever you need something as a reminder that you're not alone and how lucky you are.I'm lucky that I was attracted to this book when I was in the bookstore. I don't really have any thoughts at first and I rarely understand synopsis very well. I just trust my guts to read this book without knowing what its offer me. I was mesmerized at the very first page and was thinking to myself that this book is what I need, Felt very weird like you've met the long lost best friend. And I was excited for one whole day reading this book.

First the character A.J. is totally awesome guy. He's very strict and stubborn person. But the way he's thinking is beyond my level. When he was encounter with some strange situation, he didn't avoid it. Instead he's thinking that there's a reason for that situation happen to him. And gladly accept it. If I'm in the same situation as him, I'll be scared to death and trying my best to avoid it in any costs. Because of the unexpected situations that he's been through, he became someone new. Better person. He learns to be a better man. I love this part and I really cried in joy while reading it because I know it's hard for him to change the way he is. I'm really proud at his growing character. From stubborn and mean personality to a reasonable and lovable man.

And there's Amelia looking for love. I see myself in her character. She's really inspired me to try my best in everything I do. I love how this kind-hearted woman finally found her happiness. I really rooted for her happy ending because she deserve it.This book is funny as well. There's so many parts in this book really touch my heart. I'm thinking that maybe if I try to look everything in positive light, I'll be happy and settle just like A.J. and Amelia. And yeah a bookstore, that's all I want.

A.J. had asked. “No, I didn’t mean to offend you”, the person had said and then the flips flops had backed their way to the door, leaving without making a purchase.
She thinks he’s about to hug her, but instead he shakes her hand, the way he would greet a colleague- perhaps an author visiting the store. A sentence occur to her: The day my father shook my hand, I knew I was a writer.
He will try again. He will never stop trying. “Maya, we are what we love”. Maya is shaking her head. “Dad, I’m sorry. I don’t understand”.”We aren’t things we collect, acquire, read. We are for as long as we are here, only love. The things we loved. The people we loved. And these, I think these really do live on”.

Book Review

I totally in love with this book. The main character in this book is Sam Kinnison. However, this book is not only about Sam. It is more than that. Every character in this book have it’s own story, problems and issues. Lets begin with our main character. He’s super intelligent (nerd) person who has his own circle of friend. He’s not popular and often bully by the jock and the popular kids in the school. I’m sure everyone think that this book will eventually turn Sam into popular kid blaa blaa..well he’s not. And I ensure you that Sam won’t be someone else he’s not by the end of this book. That’s why I love this book because it gives Sam freedom to be himself despite every issue and problem he’s going through.

Next we have three of Sam’s best friend which are Mike, Adrian and Allison. The three of them have totally different personality. Mike is more quite type. Adrian is super-loud and he likes to say whatever he wants. Allison is a girl who is more outgoing and she like to try something new. I love their friendship so much. I’m glad that they have each other because somehow I feel like in our life we do need someone that understand us especially when we don’t understand ourselves. I love how Mike understands Sam so much.Then we have Sam’s love interest which is Camilla Carter. She just a perfect girl. She’s outgoing and friendly to everyone. She’s got totally awesome personality. I do look up at her and feel like why can I be like her? She’s so positive and always happy. Although she has her own problems, she just doesn’t show it.The way Sam talks to her and calmed her down when she’s nervous is so cute. I wish someone will say the same thing to me.

It's good book about friendship, love and all the awkward stage that we've been through, It kind of remind me of when I was a simple minded girl and all I need is friend to talk to about those 'big' problems I had. For someone who loves Eleanor & Park by Rainbow Rowell, this is a perfect book. Oh..I'm looking forward to read Melissa Keil's other work. She's awesome!!

Review

This book is unique, one of a kind and very suitable for everyone (not just children). First you need to know that this book is a middle grade fiction and the recommendation ages for this book is 8-12 years old. However, I disagree with the recommendation age because I strongly believe that this book can be enjoyed by everyone. Anyway move on with the review, the most unique thing about this book is the school itself. The school is divided into two major/school which are Good and Evil. You either got into Good School or Evil School. You can’t be both.



Above is the layout of the school that I got from google. On the left is the Evil School that is connected with the Good School on the right side by a bridge and a School’s Master Tower.When I see this layout, my mind was thinking about Hogwarts all the time. I mean it’s so beautiful just like Hogwarts.The school is actually train their student to be either Princess, Heroes (Good School) or a Villains and Witches (Evil School). While studying here, you will be learning so many things about being good or evil. So that when you graduated, you can be the main character for your own story. It’s like a fairy tale come to live. If you graduated as a top student in either school you’ll be the main character or else you will be just a supporting characters. And it’s real. What I mean by real is it is not an act. You’ll be facing all this challenges just like a fairy tale but in real life.I love the subjects they learn at school. It is so interesting. It makes me wonder if I got chosen to go to that school which one I’ll be in. Wonder no more because you can take an admission test here.

Now it is time to discuss and review the main character of this book which are Sophie and Agatha.I’m going to start with Sophie.From the beginning Sophie really wanted to be admit to The School for Good. She wants to be a Princess. She done a good deed (with a hidden intention) and also dressed pretty like a princess so that the School Master will notice her and accept her to the Good School.Next we have Agatha. She got a dark appearance and really gloomy personality. Other than her dark appearance, she’s got a very good heart. She’s truly amazing I think because she’s one of a kind. She looks like loner girl but actually her personality is amazing. And she truly believe in their friendship.

​This story is about how Sophie that supposed to be in a Good School got switched with Agatha and got admit to the Evil School. As for Sophie, she’s trying to change the fact that she’s in Evil School by doing all sort of thing to change places with Agatha. While Agatha did not trust the school at all, so she’s trying to go back home and trying her best to convince her best friend, Sophie to leave the school with her. But no one actually leave the school before so it's like mission impossible for her.I love Agatha so much that I think that she’s really a true friend and she’s doing everything for Sophie.

There is one more character that stirred up their friendship which is Prince Tedros. He’s in a Good School. At first he attracted to Sophie because he thinks that Sophie is the one that supposed go the Good School and not Agatha. So both Tedros and Sophie are teaming to prove the School Master that he made a mistake by putting Agatha in the Good School.There is some conflict between Sophie and Agatha. Mostly because Sophie has her own intention (she's kinda selfish sometimes) while Agatha struggling and planning to leave the school with her. So Agatha trusted her so much that sometimes I feel so annoyed by Sophie’s character because she’s only thinking about herself, about her fairy tale endings and love life without thinking about Agatha’s feeling. All I can say about this book is it’s very interesting story if you enjoy something different and you want to try reading something similar to Harry Potter or boarding school kinda book, why not try to read this book. Don’t worry about how the content will be so Middle Grade because it is not.

I've been going through mixed-emotion in losing weight. I gain weight and lose weight like no others. I gain more than I lose usually. And I've been doing workout on and off. I finally decided to be more focus and plan for better.There's so many time that I was thinking of giving up. I thought that maybe this is my fate. Like I'm being fat and unhealthy is something that I can't change. But not anymore. This is the time. It's not too late. I can change, so are you. Be more healthy and love yourself. Will update with some losing weight inspiration and workout routine as soon as possible.

Introduction to The Inspirational Lyrics

Hello there,

I love learning languages although I'm not that good. The current language that I self taught is Korean language. For me, the best way to learn new languages is by searching for something inspirational about the language that you learn. Like inspirational quotes or music. I found that whenever I try to learn it through music that inspire in terms of its lyrics, the language somehow sink faster than learn from the book. But I did not encourage to only learn language by understanding song lyrics because you got to understand grammar, the alphabet and normal language speaking.


Lyrics can actually improve vocab and particularly inspirational lyrics can help you when you're feeling down and want to give up learning.

Introduction to The Book Review

For the book review part, I will be giving stars rating and personal comments on the book I've read. I will be really honest with my view and no intention of sugar coating or hurting anyone. I may or may not agree with the popular opinion of some books and please don't take it in a hard way. I'm just a normal person with my own preference but I do broaden my book genres as I love reading new things and discover new world in books. 


My favorite genre are contemporary, young adult fiction, fantasy, children and mystery. I do have a little problems in reading classical fiction because 1) I don't understand the writing 2) I don't get the sense of humor/historical background of some books. But I love the movie-tie in of some classical fiction such as Pride &Prejudice and Emma (basically all of Jane Austen's film adaption).
